As a nonprofit executive and educator for over three decades, Kelly A. Clark, PhD has worked with many individuals making employment transitions, both voluntary and involuntary. Her research on how people get through job loss and maintain their well-being led her to delve into the experiences of older unemployed individuals who had careers in white-collar and blue-collar occupations. Kelly has been an executive at AARP for nearly 20 years, and serves on the NH Workforce Innovation Board. She previously led the NH Workforce Opportunity Council.
Kelly’s PhD dissertation research, which was published in the Applied Journal on Quality of Life and featured in several articles, explored the life experience of long-term unemployed baby boomers who remained upbeat despite their job search woes. Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Maine, Orono; a master’s degree in public policy and management from the University of Southern Maine, Edmund S. Muskie School of Public Service; and both a master’s degree in human development and a PhD in human and organizational systems from Fielding Graduate University.
Kelly lives in New Hampshire with her husband and their bloodhound, Baxter. Connect with Kelly on LinkedIn, and use the form below to message her.
